Mostly empty
Seventy to ninety percent is unused paper. The eye should wander before it lands.

One small cluster
A single imageable subject — object, cutout, xerox, or type — occupying about 8–25%.

Typewriter, serif
One short phrase. Optional date, weather, archive number. Letters may drift or misregister.

One loud ink
Paper and gray support a single high-chroma anchor: cobalt, lemon, tomato, pear, cyan, magenta.

Printed defects
Xerox, risograph, halftone, letterpress bleed, scan dust. Flat light. No 3D, no neon.
